- Increased depression and suicide among youth and young adults pointing to a changing socio-economic environment and a different generational approach to social transformation.
- Youth transition, culture and rites of passage are quintessential to preparing them for responsible young adulthood and adulthood eventually.
- Rising technology abated sexual crimes/predation with serious implications on children, stress to families and strain on communities including increased violence, sexual abuse, suicide and homicide among children and youth.
- High unemployment and livelihoods vulnerability impacting youth the most. The linkage between climate change, livelihoods, disaster risk and SRH.
- Youth out of school, substance abuse, teenage sex crisis leading to pregnancy crisis.

CASIT advocates for and will adopt an integrated social transformation approach to addressing as many of these issues as possible, subject to resource and other constraints. This will include and involve;
- Mainstreaming integrated socio-economic and ecological solutions through a nexus approach. The idea is to create a continuum of influence through a confluence of social, economic, technological and ecological interventions built on and around innovation.
- Co-create solutions to enhance sustainability through community involvement and ownership of interventions from the start.
- Solution/interventions scalability.
- Incubation and innovation tool kits.
- Linking programme beneficiaries to funding and commercialisation opportunities.
CASIT Objectives
- Increase access to and availability of skills and technologies through adaptation and testing of a wide range of innovations that reach and impact the most underserved youth.
- Spur a constellation of services through an integrated package of technologies focused on youth and youth owned enterprises as a means for enhancing their opportunities for gainful income generation and poverty alleviation.
- Co-create solutions that enhance youth enterprise start-up, ownership, scale up and sustainability by leveraging community resources through a facilitative, agility culture.
- Embrace and advance ecologically sound agribusiness and climate change mitigation strategies as a means of livelihood protection that will create a better environment for youth development.
- Integrate socio-economic, ecological and innovation interventions with youth and adolescent behaviour change, gender equity and sexual reproductive health challenges in pursuit of youth and adolescent growth and development.

Integrate socio-economic, ecological and innovation
In tandem with these objectives, CASIT shall strive;-
- To establish or to assist in the establishment of sustainable socio-economic development and empowerment of youth through innovation, business, start-up planning, process improvement, and management.
- To engage youth along their families, communities and/ or government so that youth are empowered to reach their full potential.
- To link youth with existing and ongoing environmental initiatives run by government, other civil society organizations and the private sector especially in the areas of climate change management and mitigation, resource-based conflicts, climate innovation and climate smart agriculture.
- To train Youth to increase knowledge and change social norms around sexual and reproductive health as well as link youth to appropriate and youth friendly services.
- To take such steps by personal or written appeals, private meetings, public meetings or representations to Parliament, government entities and other bodies as may be deemed expedient to promote any of the objects of the Organizatio
- To raise, mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for the promotion of youth empowerment and participation, to work through youth organization to improve skills, to address capacity gaps, and to address any challenges relating to youth and for the attainment of any or all objects of the Organization, and to do such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of these objects.
- To enter into any arrangement with any government or authorities that may advance the organization’s objects or any of them and to obtain from such government or authority any rights privileges and concessions which the Organization may deem desirable to obtain.
- To take steps by personal, verbal or written appeals, public meetings, promotions and advertisements or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions to the funds of the organization in the form of donations, annual subscriptions or otherwise.
- To apply to any government or authority, public body, corporations, company or persons for (and to accept) grants, gifts of money and of any movable or immovable property, donations, gifts, subscription and other assistance with the views to promoting the objectives of the organizations and, in taking of any gift or property subject to any special trust which may be prescribed by the donor thereof.
- To promote, assist in the promotion of/or collaborate with any organization or any company or other body having similar objective to those of the Organization.
- To work with other organizations with similar objectives.
- To draw, execute or otherwise deal with negotiable or transferable instruments.
To invest any moneys of the organization not immediately required in any one or more of the modes of investment of trust monies or in such other manner as the board of the organization may from time to time determine provided that the returns of such investments shall be generated back to the organization to achieve its objectives.
